Conducting compelling and thorough interviews is one of the fundamental elements of documentary filmmaking. Nevertheless, landing the perfect interview is easier said than done. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of conducting successful, intimate interviews. Participants will learn different interviewing techniques, the nature of questioning, research, environmental considerations, and potential ethical dilemmas. Leave with a new understanding of what it takes to craft a powerful interview.
