Instructor

Fabiola Andrade

Fabiola Andrade is a queer, Honduras-born, US-based filmmaker inspired by her multicultural heritage and interdisciplinary background. Through drama, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror, the themes in her projects explore the coming of self and how it flows into day-to-day, yet surreal settings. Recently, she was selected for the Women of Color Incubator sponsored by Netflix and The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) for the development of her film Natural Selection. Andrade’s path has been supported by distinguished programs and fellowships from Telluride Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival Emerging Voices’ Director Lab, Tomorrow Filmmakers Today, and Film Independent’s Project Involve. Keen to form and substance, Andrade writes, directs, and produces independently, while also collaborating in various roles with the studios Netflix, Disney, Universal, and Paramount Pictures. Overlapping her skills and intuition, she looks to nourish the artistry and potential in every project.
