Melissa Cripe

Melissa Cripe is a New Orleans-based Director, Production Designer, and Prop Stylist. Through a colorful, cinematic lens, she composes visual stories that playfully explore the peculiarity of the human condition. The tactile, surreal worlds she builds combine a childlike curiosity with a critical, artistic eye that invites the viewer to re-evaluate their reality. Often, the characters in her work don masks to create a visual paradox and embody the anomalies of being alive. She has designed and directed national print and social advertising campaigns, commercials, and music videos for clients such as NBC Universal, Netflix, Dove, LinkedIn, Giphy, Tidal, Complex, and Houseparty.
