Grant Writing Workshop

Have a grant deadline approaching in early January? Are you working on a grant application and looking for guidance and feedback? This hands-on workshop is designed to help creatives and small arts nonprofit leaders develop a stronger grant application. Think of this as a grant writer's workshop, not a traditional class. You'll come prepared to work on a real application, receive feedback, and leave with a stronger draft.

  • Pre-work required before attending

  • Hands-on support developing your grant narrative and budget

  • Guidance on aligning your proposal with the funder's requirements

  • Optional homework for those interested in additional feedback

  • Monday | December 14 | 6pm-9pm

  • NOVAC: New Orleans | 4422 S. Carrollton Ave.

How to Prepare for the Workshop

Before the workshop, participants will submit the name of the grant they're applying for, a link to the Request for Proposals (RFP), and a 2–3 sentence description of their proposed project. I'll review the grant guidelines in advance and work with participants to develop their grant narratives and budgets, with attention to how well their proposals align with the funder's priorities.
