We will review what the tax incentive program is here in Louisiana, what the state offers, and how to understand the process as a filmmaker. We will discuss steps from development of a project that wants to utilize tax credits to the receipt of the rebate. Q&A session will follow.

Laura Singleterry
Laura Singleterry is a New Orleans, Louisiana based filmmaker. She was born in Pennsylvania, raised in Mississippi, and has spent most of her adult life in New Orleans. She received a BA in Communications: Drama and Film from the University of New Orleans in 2003.
Laura has worked in narrative feature film, documentary film, reality television, commercial and vertical format content. She also prepares script breakdowns, schedules and budgets for projects and additionally works as a tax credit consultant. Her experience includes working as a producer, line producer, UPM, coordinator, 2nd AD, talent agent, and music supervisor. She currently manages her company, Meditati Services Ltd.
